Ok. Whew. I just spent the last 30-45 minutes looking for my checkbook. Seems it's missing - again. I was über caught up in half.comming this quarter's textbooks this week and was poking my head around there again tonight trying to set up a book or two of my own. It asked for my account number (on the check) and that's when I realized it was gone. I remember having it a day or two ago, but

Snowed in

At 8am, I awoke to see 3 inches of snow outside. By 1pm, there was around 5-6 inches. It's a snow day, alright!

The ride back home was very menacing. We were told the bus would be 30-45 minutes late when we showed up (it wasn't quite, but it was close.) The real fun started just north of Centralia. There was around an inch of ice covering the road, countless vehicles abandoned in the ditches, and many accidents (Pa and Bernie said they heard there was 25 between there and Olympia.) Ok, so I'm early, but, "happy new year!" Steph's best friend Trish should be coming over this evening to help ring in the new year. It should be a lot of fun. And last night, Steph and I made a snowman together (which was the first either of us had made in years.) Good times.

Return of the Snow

The Rickers and I just got back from The Return of the King. Wow. We left the theater and were greeted by a world of white - it had started snowing during the movie! Stephanie says this is the first time it's stuck in about 7 years. Anyway, I must be going to frolic in the snow :)

Back in town

Steph and I met my mom at Lloyd Center today and came back home to visit for a day. It's snowing here, which is either nice or not depending on which carseat you're in. I hadn't seen anything but slush this year, so it was good to see good old-fashioned snow once again. We opened presents, ate, and watched The Two Towers (Steph hadn't seen it and her dad's taking us to the 3rd movie on Tuesday
